The Ford F-150 lineup has always been impressive, and is popular for those in Northampton and the surrounding area. It's known for its power and performance, and that will stay the same, even as a fully electric option. The new Ford F-150 Lightning which is on its way here in the future is going to be the first electric truck in the vehicle lineup.

The F-150 Lightning adds some different exterior features, highlighted by a full-width light bar in front, plus some special badging onboard. It uses an 1,800-pound battery to power it, found on the floor of the truck, and this will give you a driving range on a single charge of 230 to 300 miles, depending on the configuration you choose. That means you get a trunk in the hood of the vehicle for added safe storage, since a traditional engine is not there. Of course, it's also fully capable of towing, hauling, and going off the path around Northampton, Holyoke, Westfield and Amherst.

You're also going to find you can power up onboard with multiple 120- and 240-volt outlets around the truck, and there's even innovative features like the truck bed also serving as a scale so you know the exact weight your carrying and can stay within payload limits, and know how it will affect the F-150 Lightning's driving range on all-electric power.

Inside there's a 15.5-inch touch display, as well as the latest software, onboard connective technology and many safety features highlighted by Ford Co-Pilot360™.

We don't know when the F-150 Lightning is anticipated for dealerships like ours, but we know the anticipation will be high! To learn more, contact us at Ford of Northampton and we can discuss the F-150 Lightning, as well as current F-150 choices including a hybrid option today.
