Produces a brighter finish that resists corrosion, chemicals, humidity, scratches, chips and UV damage. Standard on all service body models.Aluma-Fill® CupAn all-aluminum dish around the fuel cap protects the body from accidental nicks and scratches during refueling, and is more durable than typical plastic brackets.Dual-Pro® Seal SystemPatented design increases clear door openings in every compartment of the body. Large, automotive quality bubble-type seal and mechanical seal provide a dual line of defense against weather.Nitrogen Gas Strut Door HoldersAll vertical compartment doors are equipped with nitrogen gas strut door holders. Struts hold the doors in the open position and provide a smooth, controlled motion on close, to prevent overslam and body damage.Stainless Steel Rotary Locks With Paddle HandlesReading’s stainless steel locks and paddle handles have a clean, fastener-free appearance that’s both professional and functional. Locks and handles include a pry-resistant, automotive-style “free-wheeling” design with double-bitted keys. Handles are gasketed and include O-rings to prevent water intrusion. Locks are compatible with Reading’s optional Latch-Matic® remote locking system.Pooched BumperReading service and enclosed utility bodies are offered with a selection of ‘pooched’ bumpers that improve traction and give you sure-footed access to the cargo area. Bumpers are galvannealed steel for outstanding corrosion resistance, and available either straight, or with a center recess to provide easy access to a trailer hitch. Hidden HingesReading’s signature hidden hinges are designed to resist forcible entry, and provide the ultimate in clean, professional appearance. This robust and concealed hinge design provides protection against corrosion without requiring frequent lubrication or maintenance. They are fully adjustable and easy to replace without special tools.Slam-Action TailgateThe iconic Reading tailgate is easy to open and shut with a pickup-style latch and slam-action closure, and includes a Stainless Steel polished handle on Classic II. Tailgate is 14″ tall with a treadplate working surface, to provide sure-footed access to the loadspace. The latching hardware is stainless steel — knee braces, locking rods, hinge rods and striker channels. Knee braces are removable and protect against rust and corrosion while allowing the tailgate to swing down completely.Seamless Wheelhouse PanelWhen your truck kicks up dirt, mud, and salt, that buildup can cause damage and corrosion. Reading service and enclosed utility bodies are designed with with seamless wheelhouse panels to give dirt, moisture and corrosives fewer places to collect.Undercoated Aluminum UnderstructureHeavy-gauge aluminum crossmembers and longitudinal rails help to protect against long-term wear and corrosion while helping to keep the service body at a lower weight. Standard on aluminum service bodies and vans.Heavy-Duty Aluminum Compartment DoorsMade from heavy-gauge aluminum, the double-panel compartment doors on our aluminum service bodies are designed for strength and tested for reliability. Aluminum doors contribute to a lighter weight, fuel-efficient truck without giving up long-term durability.

Regret Buying, Lemon,
By David | on Saturday, May 03, 2025
I ordered a new 2024 F350 XL, 8' Bed, 4x4, Diesel. It is a nightmare, nothing but problems from the beginning. Truck now has 11,000 miles and it has been back at Ford service 11 times. I bought brand new for one reason, because I needed reliable and didn't have time to deal with problems. This truck has been totally the opposite. Nonstop problems that Ford can't get fixed, I'm back at service over and over costing me down time, lost work, and right now I would be afraid to even drive it out of town or any distance. And there is no accountability from Ford... if this were a TV that didn't work you would return it for your money back, Ford just short of shrugs there shoulders and says "sorry bring it in again". Some of the issues: At only 500 miles the computer/CAN communications seem to crash, truck faulted for everything, logged 30 some codes, some Ford didn't even have info on. Ford reset OBD but never found a resolution. From the beginning driver window intermittently stopped without closing all the way. Ford ignored my complaints until it got so bad Ford got it stuck one day while they had it in service. In the end it was like 6-8 trips back to service and 3 new window modules put in to get that issue resolved. Various rattles and clunks in the front end and steering. Ford found numerous issues including a fender installed wrong, and tie rods that needed to be adjusted. Still problems with the steering that they can't fix because they can't get parts. 7 weeks now and I'm afraid to leave town with the truck. Truck displays "warning, may not start/re-start service immediately" and shuts down the next time you put it in park. After re-start the message is going, no faults or indication as to why, no advice from Ford. Gauge cluster illumination (backlights) turn themselves on randomly when the truck is sitting parked untouched. I seemed impressed at first how smooth the 10-Speed transmission went through the gears. Then I started noticing sometimes it will slip, and then BANG, slam into the gear on an up-shift. When I put the truck in park, start to get out and pull my foot off the brake, it rolls away, to the point you react to jump back in, then the transmission catches. AC sometimes turns itself back on automatically after turning it off. Trailer brake monitoring is flaky, often has messages about trailer light problems when there is not even a trailer connected. That's some of my problems. I totally got ripped off. With accessories I got about $70,000 into a brand new truck I'm afraid to use and costing me time and money taking it back to service nonstop. There is no good solution for me. I can't buy another one. There is no good outcome that won't cost me 10's of thousands of dollars more.… - 5.0

Nice Dually
By Ken M | on Sunday, June 22, 2025
I bought this as a daily driver and to pull 20,000 loads 1 to 2 times a month. We have two other F350 platinum trucks srw with the 7.3 gas engine. It works well for what we use them for. Just needed a little more capacity and stability for when we have a really heavy load. The XLT I bought was nicely equipped although I am dumbfounded by why a dealer would not order these with the goose neck prep package. I also wish that Ford would offer an Ultimate XLT package that would include all of the most optioned items and include a power passenger seat. Overall very happy with the truck.…
